Google Trader is second to Google Search in Ghana

Google Trader is a free online classifieds service by Google that allows people to buy and sell products and services, as well as search for jobs etc. The service was firstly launched in Uganda (June 2009) where it is quite popular there.

Google Trader was launch here in Ghana last year (December 2010). The service is now very popular among Ghanaians.

To make sure that Google Trader is easily accessible to users across Ghana, Google has partnered with Airtel and tiGO to offer a FREE SMS option. Users can subscribe by texting START to 6007 on any Airtel or Tigo phone and can start posting and selling straight away.
